International Women's Day is a global celebration of the achievements of women- past, present, and future! Brannon Industrial Group is proud to celebrate this day as a company who employs a wide variety of women as well as a company with majority female ownership. We want to use International Women's Day as an opportunity to acknowledge the powerful and diverse women that play a BIG role in our success at Brannon Industrial Group!

The print, waste management, and scrap metal industries have never been known for their female inclusivity. At Brannon Industrial Group, we’ve made it our goal to disrupt that. We proudly employ women in a diverse range of positions, including management and leadership. We have female drivers for BVR Waste & Recycling, and site operators at our collection center- which we're quite proud of. Additionally, women make the majority of our marketing team, print shop and accounting department. We’re so proud to tout our female make-up at BIG because we know that our previous successes and future trajectories have everything to do with the hardworking people we employ.

The diversity and inclusion in our teams can speak for themselves, but we decided to make it official by earning a HUB certification. The Historically Underutilized Business Program is a corporation, sole proprietorship, partnership, or a joint venture that maintains 51 percent ownership of the business by a woman, minority and/or service-disabled veteran. HUB was created to promote full and equal procurement opportunities for small, minority- and women-owned businesses. This certification was important to us because we want to exhibit empowerment and inclusion to our employees, in our community, and within our industries.

Ultimately, International Women's Day is an opportunity to recognize the contributions that our CEO, and the other women have made in our business. We know that a successful and diverse female workforce stems from intentionally empowering women in all roles and at all levels. At Brannon Industrial Group, we’re proud to employ mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts and grandmothers. We’re thrilled to celebrate them today and every day, and want to take a special moment to say thank you to all of the exceptional women on the BIG team!
